We understand that orthopaedic surgery can be a significant investment, and most patients are keen to start their journey as soon as possible. To help, we have several ways you can pay for private treatment.
You’ll receive a fully inclusive quote for your surgery following your consultation. You can pay upfront, spread your payments through a third-party loan or claim the cost through your medical insurance.
Medical insurance
If you have medical insurance, check with your insurer first, to see if you’re covered. You may be able to claim the full cost of your treatment, including your consultation(s) with Mr Nirav Shah.
Contact your insurer before your consultation and bring your pre-authorisation number to your appointment. Most insurers will pay the hospital directly, so you won’t need to pay anything upfront.
Mr Shah is accredited by all the major health insurance providers, including Simply Health, BUPA, Avia and AXA PPP Healthcare.
Paying for yourself
Your consultation fee is payable directly to Mr Shah. You’ll be invoiced separately by Circle Health Group for any scans you require, for example, X-rays, CT or MRI scans.
If you are funding your treatment yourself, you can pay in full or spread the cost through a loan with Chrysalis Finance.
Fixed monthly repayments
A fixed-term loan provided by Chrysalis Finance allows you to pay for your treatment in monthly instalments that can be spread over a time period to suit you.
- Interest free monthly repayments when spread over a 10-month period
- You can choose to spread the cost over a period of up to five years. 14.9% APR will apply if the loan is taken out for more than a 10-month time period
- You can borrow as little as £350 and up to £25,000 (subject to eligibility)

If you’re paying privately for your treatment, you don’t need a referral letter from your GP to arrange a consultation. Contact us, and we’ll aim to see you as quickly as possible.
