Paying for your treatment

Tags: , , ,

Goring Hall Hospital

We understand that orthopaedic surgery can be a significant investment, and most patients are keen to start their journey as soon as possible. To help, we have several ways you can pay for private treatment.

You’ll receive a fully inclusive quote for your surgery following your consultation. You can pay upfront, spread your payments over up to five years or claim the cost through your medical insurance.

Medical insurance

If you have medical insurance, check with your insurer first, to see if you’re covered. You may be able to claim the full cost of your treatment, including your consultation(s) with Mr Nirav Shah.

Contact your insurer before your consultation and bring your pre-authorisation number to your appointment. Most insurers will pay the hospital directly, so you won’t need to pay anything upfront.

Mr Shah is accredited by all the major health insurance providers, including Simply Health, BUPA, Avia and AXA PPP Healthcare.

Paying for yourself

If you are funding your treatment yourself, you can pay in full or spread the cost through a BMI credit card or a third-party loan.

Your consultation fee is payable directly to Mr Shah. You’ll be invoiced separately by BMI Healthcare for any scans you require, for example, X-rays, CT or MRI scans.

BMI credit card

The BMI credit card is interest-free for the first 12 months with a credit limit to suit your circumstances – up to £20,000. If you are approved for a BMI card, you can use it to pay for your treatment and scans. There’s no annual charge or deposit.

After 12 months, you can pay off the remaining balance, or continue to make flexible monthly payments subject to interest.

You can apply for a BMI card by phone, post or email. Applications for less than £7,000 can be approved within 48 hours. If you need funds quickly, we can fast track your application.

Please visit BMI Healthcare for more details and interest rates.

Fixed monthly repayments

Fixed-term loans are available through Chrysalis Finance. You can borrow between £350 and £50,000 and spread your payments over 1–5 years. Interest-free finance is available over 12 months.

You’ll need to have a consultation before you can apply for a loan. The online application process is straightforward, and you’ll receive an instant decision.

Applicants must be aged between 21 and 75, receive a regular income and have a personal current account.
